- RRQ Sena

Before the tenth season, ONIC PH chose to restructure its whole roster and release all but one player, adopting a completely new amateur squad, Monster Anarchy at OKBET MPLI Power. Early in the regular season, the new team made waves with massive shocks over reigning champion RSG PH and Blacklist International. In addition, they were the first club to qualify for the playoffs.
ONIC’s regular-season bursts of brilliance are strong indications that they have what it takes to surprise other teams if they play their cards correctly. Gold laner Kenneth “Nets” Barro and team leader Ralph “Rapidoot” Adrales, on the other hand, have large shoes to fill if they wish to recreate the previous roster’s international success.
In other news, despite the fact that majority of its players, including twins Aiman “Mann” Anuar and Aimin “Minn” Anuar, transferred to Team HAQ in the offseason, Malaysia’s Orange Esports had a solid showing in the MPL MY Season 10 regular season. With an 11-2 regular season record, the club finished third in the playoffs at OKBET MPLI Power.
Luk “Valenz” Yip, a veteran gold laner, also stepped up this season, winning the regular season MVP award for the first time in his career. Meanwhile, RRQ Sena of MDL will replace RRQ Hoshi at MPLI 2022. If the MDL squad wants to upset tournament juggernauts like Blacklist International and ONIC Esports, they will have to work extra hard.
Dark equines

- Rebellion Zion
- RSG SG
- Slate Esports
- Omega Esports
RSG SG established themselves as the top MLBB team in Singapore this year after a thrilling 4-3 grand final win against rival Slate Esports at OKBET MPLI Power. This season, team leader Yeo “Diablo” Wee Lun has been outstanding. Both frontliners, along with roamer Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov, are critical to the team’s swift rotation and have been a key part of their success over the last two seasons.
RSG SG, on the other hand, has a lot to show since they have yet to win an international competition. Smart Omega were the second-best MPL PH team heading into MPL PH Season 10, however their playoff run was cut short as they were ousted in the play-ins stage by Bren Esports.

But make no mistake: this is still one of the region’s fiercest teams. Smart Omega, dubbed the “comeback kings,” has a tendency for prospering when the odds are stacked against them. They nearly qualified for the playoffs in Season 9 earlier this year, finishing sixth in the standings. But they made it to the grand final after battling their way through the lower bracket and even defeating elite team ECHO in the play-ins.
Even though they were defeated in the grand final by RSG PH at OKBET MPLI Power, their deep playoff run shown that they are a whole different beast when they need to be.
Challengers on the rise

- Burn x Team Flash
- Bigetron Alpha
- EVOS Legends
- Team HAQ
- Todak
- Alter Ego Esports
Following the addition of former Nexplay EVOS head coach John “Zico” Dizon and emerging player Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara, Burn x Team Flash has made progress in Cambodia at OKBET MPLI Power.
As proven by the team’s superior drafting and performance, the Filipino immigrants were a game changer. They won the MPL KH Autumn Split 2022 grand final against Logic Esports, the organization’s first championship since entering the league.
Their recent championship run demonstrates that they can compete at a far higher level if they stick to what they do best: OKBET MPLI Power outdrafting the opposition. Despite losing in the grand final against Team HAQ this season, Todak remains one of Malaysia’s strongest and most fascinating teams to watch.

Their off-meta choices and creative tactics have propelled the whole team to superstar status, with fans tuning in every week to see what’s new. Todak’s success in the MPL MY has not transferred well outside of the area, as the team has failed to win a trophy in any of the foreign competitions in which it has played in recent seasons at OKBET MPLI Power. If Malaysia were to win the MPLI 2022, Muhammad “CikuGais” Fuad, Zikry “Moon” Bin Shamsuddin, and the rest of the team must elevate their game.
Best among the rest

- Esports Bren
- RSG PH
- ECHO
- Aura Fire
Bren Esports finished fourth in Season 10, a significant improvement over the previous two seasons when they did not make the playoffs. With the signings of rookie standouts Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, the M2 champions struck the jackpot. In the playoffs, the pair performed well at Bren’s reverse sweep win against a loaded Smart Omega team in the play-ins round.
With seasoned head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro still in charge, Bren has an excellent chance of making a long playoff run at MPLI 2022 at OKBET MPLI Power. RSG PH is also hoping to add another international championship to their collection at MPLI 2022. The kingslayers won their first international title earlier this year at MSC 2022, defeating powerhouse RRQ Hoshi in the grand final.
Under the direction of Hall of Fame coach Brian “Panda” Lim, the squad maintained its supremacy in the league. It also has a number of rising stars, like Season 9 regular season MVP Dyan “Light” Catipon and MSC 2022 grand final MVP Eman “EMANN” Sangco.
Aside from Blacklist International and ONIC Esports, RSG PH is the only squad capable of winning it all.
The very best of the greatest

- International blacklist
- Onic Esports
Blacklist International enter the international scene as fan favorites after being the first team in MPL PH history to win three championships. They have often shown that they are a force to be reckoned with, not just in the Philippines at OKBET MPLI Power, but also worldwide, by conquering the M3 World Championship and the 31st Southeast Asian Games.
A win at MPLI 2022 would further cement their status as the top MLBB team in the world, led by dynamic combo Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario. They cannot, however, rest on their laurels. ONIC Esports, an Indonesian opponent, finished first in the regular season after adding Filipino foreigner Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol in the summer. They finally won their third MPL championship, defeating RRQ Hoshi in the grand final 4-1.
Kairi made such a significant effect on the team’s triumph that he was named MVP of both the regular season and the grand final. The chance of a back-to-back championship is certainly within sight, with the yellow hedgehog’s initial team remaining mostly intact and a superstar import defending their MPLI crown.
